Hemp Matcha Latte

Just a quick and easy recipe for a pick-me-up drink. Try it instead of coffe or in the afternoon when you start feeling a little bit down, but need that extra kick to keep you going. 

Have in mind that matcha green tea powder has caffeine, so try to avoid it before bedtime. I personally love it made with some dairy free milk and extra cinnamon, because spices! Okay, now off you go to make one for yourself - throw everything in a blender and there you have it. Five minutes of your time only for this pretty drink.

Cheers with a Matcha Latte

Serves 1   |   1 cup - 250ml   |   1 teaspoon - 5ml   |   Total time: 5 minutes


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of hot or cold rice milk (or other dairy free milk), unsweetened or water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pure japanese matcha
  • 2 teaspoons of hulled hemp seeds
  • 1/2 of a medjool date (1 date if you like it sweet)
  • a pinch of cinnamon

Add all ingredients into a blender and whizz until you reach a smooth consistency. Garnish with hemp seeds and cinnamon if you like. Easy? Exactly, I like it easy.

NOTE: if you don't have medjool dates, use one whole date right away as other types of dates are smaller than the medjool variety and usually not as sweet.
