One of my all-time favourite sweet snacks are finally here! Sliced apples, covered with homemade almond or peanut butter (or your favourite kind of nut butter), topped with a handful of homemade (of course) granola, goji berries and hemp seeds. I first tasted these in one of the biggest photo studios in New York City - MILK, it must have been around 2010 (time flies!!!). They always served granny smith apples with a heaping amount of peanut butter and oh I munched on them like there was no tomorrow.
I keep on seeing different variations of this quick snack and I decided to share what I like the most, especially as it brings back lovely memories. So take a look and get cookin' or... more like, slicin'!
Serves: everyone | Hands on time: 10 mins
Wash and slice the apples, remove seeds. Top with a generous amount of nut butter, granola, gojis and hemp seeds. You can also sprinkle some cinnamon on top or add more toppings like dried fruit, chopped nuts, seeds.
Take a bite and recharge before a workout, an important meeting or simply after a long day.
